Is this for you?

  • You earn a good income but don't feel ahead
  • Debt is building up, or you're unsure which debt to pay first
  • You have several goals and no clear order for them
  • You want an independent second opinion on your finances

What personal financial planning is

A financial plan is a written picture of where you are today, where you want to be, and the order of steps that gets you there. It brings together the parts of your finances that are usually handled separately: everyday cash flow, debt, emergency savings, registered accounts, insurance and longer-term goals such as a home, children’s education or retirement.

Who it can help

Planning is useful at almost any stage, but it tends to matter most when life gets more complicated. That might be a new job or a raise, a growing family, a home purchase, a separation, or simply the sense that money comes in and goes out without much to show for it.

Questions it helps answer

  • How much can I comfortably save each month, and where should it go first?
  • Should I pay down debt faster, or save and invest?
  • How much should I keep in an emergency fund?
  • Can I afford the goals I have, and in what order?

What to consider

A plan is only as good as the information behind it. Expect to look honestly at spending, and to revisit the plan when your income, family or goals change. The most useful plans are simple enough to follow in a normal month.

Limits and risks

A plan sets out recommendations based on assumptions, such as future income, interest rates and inflation, that will not play out exactly as expected. It cannot remove uncertainty, and it does not replace legal or tax advice where those are needed. We will tell you when a question is better answered by a lawyer or an accountant.

How Neyos helps

We start with a conversation about your life and priorities, then gather the numbers together. You receive a written plan that explains each recommendation and the reasoning behind it, in plain language. We then help you put the agreed steps in place and review the plan with you as things change.

Common questions

Do I need a lot of money to work with a planner?

No. Planning is often most useful early, when small decisions about saving, debt and protection have the longest time to matter.

What do I need to bring to a first conversation?

Nothing is required. A rough idea of your income, regular expenses, debts and savings is helpful, but we can work it out together.

Will you tell me to stop spending on things I enjoy?

A good plan makes room for the things you value. The aim is to spend deliberately, not to spend nothing.

Talk it through with an advisor.

We’ll start with your situation and tell you plainly what, if anything, you need.
